Embark on a fulfilling career journey by joining the Environmental Services Team at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) as an EVS/ED Technician. As an EVS/ED Technician, you will execute a diverse range of general cleaning duties to uphold the cleanliness standards of the Emergency Department and designated hospital areas in adherence to EVS Policies and Procedures. Additionally, your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the availability of essential supplies and actively engaging as a collaborative team member alongside nurses, physicians, and various departments.
Whatyou’ll do day to day:
- Follow specific tasks as outlined in shift, area-specific, and discharge checklists.
- Polish, clean, and disinfect fixtures in utility rooms, bathrooms, and high-touch areas.
- Utilize vacuum machines to clean floors, vents, fans, and equipment.
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and restocking of bathrooms, tub rooms, and showers; wash furnishings, floors, and equipment; dust blinds, floors, and furnishings; and maintain trash receptacles both inside and out.
