For a full listing of employee perks both on and off-property, SUMMARY Prepare and maintain a skiing surface that is safe and functional for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels using grooming vehicles. You must be flexible in your hours and willing to work evenings/overnight as well as weekends and holidays. Operating heavy machinery is a must. Works directly with other groomers and other departments such as Patrol, Lifts, and Snow making as a team to accomplish daily goals and operations.

Ability to read instruments and recognize mechanical issues in snow cats. Be able to identify obstacles and hazards in all types of terrain. Ensures compliance with all Risk Management, health and safety protocols. Assists in training Groomer I operators. This is a seasonal position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assignment

Daily operational inspection, fueling, and cleaning of machinery.

Grooming of ski trails in a mountainous environment both during daylight and munication of work performed, area covered, and reporting of any irregularities for other operators to be aware of.

Trains Groomer I operators under the direction of the Shift Lead or the Snow making/Grooming Manager Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related, or un-related to original position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has minor supervisory responsibilities with respect to Groomer I operators.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must have 2
-5 years of experience operating a snow cat in a mountain environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and other technical documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
