Building Maintenance Mechanic
The Building Maintenance Mechanic plays a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility infrastructure to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position focuses on keeping all machinery, tools, and building systems operating safely and in line with operational standards, helping to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs throughout the facility to support safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting to resolve leaks, clogs, and other common issues.
- Complete painting projects and facility touch-ups to maintain a clean, professional, and well-kept environment.
- Repair and maintain epoxy flooring to ensure safe walking surfaces and a durable production environment.
- Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting on building systems and equipment as needed.
- Complete carpentry and general repair work, including fixtures, doors, and other structural components.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders to reduce downtime and address facility needs.
- Assist with facility improvement projects and renovations, contributing to upgrades and enhancements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in good working order and organized storage.
- Support HVAC, filtration, and hydraulic systems maintenance as part of overall facility upkeep.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in building maintenance or a closely related maintenance role.
- Proficiency in general facility and building maintenance, including routine repairs and upkeep.
- Basic plumbing skills, including troubleshooting and repairing common plumbing issues.
- Experience performing minor electrical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to complete painting tasks and facility touch-ups with attention to detail.
- Experience repairing and maintaining epoxy flooring or similar industrial floor surfaces.
- General carpentry skills for repairs and maintenance of building structures and fixtures.
- Ability to conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems.
- Capability to work safely with HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, and filtration systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience in facilities maintenance within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, filters, and general mechanical components.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to safety and adherence to facility operational standards.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and production teams.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional Saturday overtime as needed.

Work Environment
The role is based in a state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility focused on high-quality production and strict operational standards. The Building Maintenance Mechanic works in and around production areas, utility spaces, and general facility zones, supporting machinery, building systems, HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, and filtration equipment. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional overtime available on Saturdays as needed to support production demands and facility projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $68000.00/yr. Benefits available on day 1 since a direct hire.
