Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
- Conduct routine groundskeeping tasks to maintain beautification of the landscape.
- Perform minor plumbing and carpentry repair work, including fixing leaking faucets, clogged toilets, dents, and holes in walls, and painting walls.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on Salvation Army vehicles, monitoring and replenishing fluid levels.
- Maintain grounds: mowing grass, trimming hedges, blowing leaves, collecting debris.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors; sweep sidewalks.
- Assemble and move office furniture.
- Monitor building and grounds activities and visitors for security.
- Drive truck to pick up supplies and repair items; drive Salvation Army vehicle to pick up/drop off materials, donations, mail, and transport adults, teenagers, and children to/from various locations.
- Clean surroundings after each repair job and ensure tools are collected and area left neat.
- Monitor lighting and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Maintain tools, supplies, parts, and equipment belonging to the Maintenance Department.
- Meet attendance requirements.
- Read, write, and communicate in English.
- Perform heavy lifting and strenuous work involving lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Walk, stoop, stand continuously, and climb as needed.
Work involves driving a vehicle and working outdoors daily, with exposure to weather changes, noise, dust, and dirt.

High school diploma or GED and at least two years of general maintenance experience, or equivalent training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and CertificationsValid state driver's license and forklift certification.
