Hospital Housekeeper

Full-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers – All Shifts

Location:

DeTar Hospital Navarro, Victoria, Texas.

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below.

• 1st shift – 7:00am–3:30pm
• 2nd shift – 3:00pm–11:30pm
• 3rd shift – 11:00pm–7:30am

$12 per hour.

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps and/or vacuums floor.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebasket and transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
• Experience in the janitorial industry – a plus.
• Experience with medical cleaning – a plus.
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent required.

Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to hold, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception required.

Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, works near moving mechanical parts. Noise level usually quiet.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
