HPC-Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, is looking for a Travel LDAR Technician III. The role involves identifying fugitive emissions from industrial components and ensuring compliance with EPA regulations through specialized equipment such as TVAs and OGI cameras. This 100% travel position supports sites in MS, AL, FL, and GA with daily per diem and company‑arranged accommodation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adopt health and safety practices as the top priority, following all safe work procedures.
  • Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
  • Conduct routine inspections of valves, connectors, pumps, and tanks to detect VOC leaks.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers (e.g., Flame Ionization Detectors).
  • Record inspection data, tag leaking components, and manage inventory in databases such as LeakDAS, Guide Ware, and Sky Bridge.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations (e.g., 40 CFR Subpart 60) and site safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to report leaks and verify repairs.
  • Work in remote, loud industrial environments, often traveling to remote sites.
  • Meet a minimum of two years of Leak Detection and Repair experience in an industrial setting.
  • Wear protective clothing and equipment, including Nomex coveralls, a back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, a breathing mask, escape pack, and hard hat.
  • Operate under extreme climate conditions (heat, humidity, subzero weather).
  • Withstand exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
  • Demonstrate physical stamina: walk long distances, stand for extended periods, climb ladders or scaffolding (up to 100 ft), and lift up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • TWIC preferred.
  • Confined space entry & 10‑Hour OSHA training preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
