Position

Day-to-Day Substitute Custodian/Maintenance

Day-to-day on a call out need basis only

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able and willing to work at all county owned locations
• Must provide transportation to and from work locations
• Must take and pass the State's written and performance competency test for custodians and for maintenance to be administered by the board of education
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must be available to work different schedules that include early morning, evening, and late night shift hours
• Must be physically and medically capable to perform any and all manual labor tasks
• Must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor
• Adhere to strong confidentiality standards at all times

• This position will frequently require crawling, sitting, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and using repetitive motions
• This position may require mowing, weed eating, painting, snow removal, trash removal, pushing dumpsters, etc.
• This position may require lifting or moving heavy materials

Day-to-Day as Needed

As provided in WV Code §18A-4-8 and §18A-4-8a
