The Virginia Beach Field House is currently looking for housekeeping staff.
The housekeeping staff is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the property.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company‑related practices
- Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers, countertops, and sinks
- Washing windows
- Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
- Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
- Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
- Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
- Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements

Experience:
No prior experience or training. - Language
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. - Computer
Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.). Upon hire and training, the individual must be able to successfully utilize the facility Member/Guest registration software and Timeclock software.
