Provides a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for college facilities to include, but not limited to, trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, black/white-board cleaning, etc. Provides room set-up/take-down assistance and as assigned. Performs other cleaning tasks as assigned. Maintain and demonstrate good attendance habits. This position has been designated an essential position. The employees filling these positions may be required to report to work or otherwise fulfill the responsibilities of the position in the event of a college/campus closure due to weather or other emergent condition(s).
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of janitorial, custodial, and housekeeping services, and sanitizing techniques. Knowledge of custodial operations and industry standards. Ability to climb ladders without assistance. Ability to lift objects not more than 50 lbs. Experience in a janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping program/environment. Experience with in a multi-building housekeeping operation, preferred.
