Our client provides on-site power integration for large data scale centers.

The Manager of Welding Technology is responsible for the strategic leadership and standardization of welding operations across the company's facilities. This role ensures best-in-class training, certification, inspection, and process optimization while maintaining compliance with industry standards. The position plays a critical role in advancing welding capabilities, improving quality, and developing workforce expertise.

• Lead the welding technology function across all locations
• Manage weld trainers, inspectors, and certification/assessment teams
• Establish workforce plans, goals, and performance expectations

• Design and implement comprehensive welding training programs
• Ensure welders are properly trained, qualified, and continuously developed
• Address skill gaps through structured development initiatives

• Oversee the welding inspection program to ensure full operational coverage
• Collaborate with Quality Control to identify deficiencies and implement improvements
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to QC standards

• Manage welding certification and assessment processes
• Maintain accurate AWS certification records and ensure regulatory compliance
• Continuously align certification practices with updated standards

• Certification rates and first-pass success rates
• Weld quality and defect trends
• Process effectiveness indicators
• Drive data-based improvements across all welding operations

• Research and implement advanced welding technologies
• Improve automation, efficiency, and production quality
• Support succession planning and technical knowledge transfer

• Associate degree, technical certification, or trade school completion in welding or related field
• Minimum 7 years of proven Welding Technology Experience
• Minimum 3 years of managing company's welding operations across all sites
• Proven leadership experience in a technical or skilled-trades environment
• Strong Knowledge of AWS codes and certifications requirements
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Highly preferred: CWI or CWE Certifications
