Lead Custodian (Virginia Beach Campus
- Evening; 2 Positions)

Provides a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for college facilities to include, but not limited to, trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, black/white-board cleaning, etc. Provides room set-up/take-down assistance as assigned. Performs other cleaning tasks as assigned. Maintain and demonstrate good attendance habits. Reports any problems to Managers when necessary. Assist Custodial Manager in selecting, training, supervising and evaluating other housekeepers.

This position has been designated an essential position. The employee filling this position may be required to report to work or otherwise fulfill the responsibilities of the position in the event of a college/campus closure due to weather or other emergent condition(s). These positions are restricted funding.

Special Assignments
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of janitorial, custodial, and housekeeping services, sanitizing techniques to include floor and carpet care and maintenance. Knowledge of custodial operations and industry standards. Ability to climb ladders without assistance. Ability to lift objects not more than 50 lbs. Valid driver's license. Experience in a janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping operations as a shift leader.

Additional Considerations
- Experience with in a multi-building housekeeping operation. Experience in a college or university environment.
