Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 - Night shift to join their dedicated team. This is an entry-level Data Center Technician role supporting data center operations and decommissioning activities

Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 - Night shift

Boydton, VA

$24/hr - $28/hr

• Monitor and respond to equipment failure or performance errors within the data center environment
• Assist in decommissioning network cables and hardware following established procedures
• Prepare, stage, and perform basic startup and shutdown procedures for hardware components
• Conduct physical audits of data center assets to ensure inventory accuracy
• Follow safety protocols and utilize PPE to maintain a secure working environment

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and related components
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Flexibility to work non‑standard hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
