Position Summary: The Facilities Janitorial/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and professional environment throughout office and hangar facilities. This role ensures that work spaces, common areas, and restrooms are consistently maintained to high standards of cleanliness, contributing to employee well-being and a positive impression for clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Services, cleans or supplies restrooms
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Cleans windows, glass partitions, or mirrors using cleaners, sponges or squeegees
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Gathers and empties trash
- Mixes water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- Notifies supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or maintenance issues
- Requisition s supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Sets up, arranges and removes decorations, tables, chairs to prepare facilities for company events and meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to clean all buildings, fixtures and furniture safely and in a timely fashion
- Demonstrates ability of maintaining janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
- Basic knowledge of modern cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Adept at using chemicals in a safe manner
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively individually and with a team
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with janitorial and/or cleaning
- Passport or work authorization requirement to work in the US
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or kneel for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Monday through Friday 6 am – 3 pm, after hours and weekends based on business needs
