Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and act as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00–$14.00 depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training is delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
- Eligible part‑time employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule. Average weekly hours are 10–14.
- Availability is required the week before and after major holidays—including weekends—as well as for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. Utilize technology for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
- Holiday support: Work additional days and extended hours around holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May include working on the holiday itself and weekends.
- Department resets: Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: Support other team members as needed within the Hallmark field organization.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency.
- Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Maintain the ability to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders during the workday.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Competent with digital hand‑held devices for opening documents and interpreting information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
- Primarily open only to principals.
