Service Contract Act (SCA) Position
Hourly rate: $17.20
Duties and Responsibilities
- The maintenance worker is responsible for cleaning and general maintenance work orders throughout the center.
- The maintenance worker performs interior and exterior janitorial, building maintenance and grounds keeping assignments according to work orders.
- Performs minor building construction tasks, mows lawns, maintains grounds, and picks up trash and papers.
- Ensures that all tools and equipment are in good repair and kept in appropriate storage sheds and closets.
- Transports equipment and/or commodities throughout the center.
- Ensures all equipment and facilities are clean and maintained in accordance with center standards.
- Maintains a work environment of zero accidents and injuries including no loss-time accidents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required. One year of related work experience preferred.
- Able to complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our substance abuse and drug-free workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.
