Maintenance Manager
Lead a high performing maintenance operation that keeps plant production running safely, efficiently, and reliably. As a Maintenance Manager, you will drive maintenance strategy and execution for the facility, providing leadership, technical guidance, and oversight of maintenance projects, cost optimization, and process improvements. You will play a critical role in enhancing equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance spend, and supporting continuous improvement while ensuring the facility and its systems operate at peak performance.
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy maintenance and store improvement programs and projects that improve the plant and equipment performance.
- Promote safety and demand it from the maintenance organization.
- Manage the maintenance staff to include hiring, training and developing the staff to meet the needs of the department.
- Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is completed and records are maintained on all assets.
- Ensure maintenance projects comply with all local, state and federal safety and environmental requirements and regulations.
- Develop and oversee the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes and executing long-term plans.
- Manage the maintenance management system.
- Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related discipline. In lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have an understanding of maintenance management systems and processes, preventative and predictive maintenance, manufacturing technologies and standard software applications.
- Requires strong communication, math, organizational and analytical skills.
- Must be able to travel to other facilities.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. - May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
