Track Maintenance Lead

Responsible for assisting with the direction of daily work for track maintenance. Responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of buildings and structures in the stable area throughout the year. During live racing season, performing duties maintaining the dirt track through a variety maintenance vehicles and equipment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include operating equipment as indicated in the operator's manual and in a safe manner, performing daily inspections of equipment, maintaining equipment daily and reporting all incidents, malfunctions, and unsafe or unhealthy conditions to supervisor, maintaining area grounds by mowing, edging, trash pick-up, among other methods, cleaning the area around the manure bins daily for pick-up during the racing season, installing and repairing electrical and plumbing structures and fixtures, measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials, constructing building frameworks;

including, walls, floors, door frames, downspouts, and gutters, inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures, utilizing many different hand and power tools including, but not limited to, squares, levels, chisels, sanders, circular saws, drills, nail guns to cut and shape wood, drywall, or other materials, fastening materials together with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives accurately, measuring materials to ensure productivity, reducing waste, and ensuring efficiency, ensuring the area under construction is properly cordoned off to ensure the safety of others, using proper and required personal protection equipment, following and adhering to all policies & procedures and rules & regulations, providing next-level guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrating #Add Life culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers, maintaining confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations, keeping position supervisor informed of relevant activities, and other duties as assigned.

Required skills and abilities include attending the required training sessions offered by the Company, obtaining and retaining required license(s), performing the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations, taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco, having knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department, having knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming, and reporting any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.

Education and experience must include a high school diploma or GED certificate plus two years similar work experience; or four years' work experience; or a combination of work and education may be considered. Working knowledge in these areas, the list may not be all-inclusive.

Physical requirements and working conditions include interior and exterior work in all weather year-round. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach. Will use hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers, and others, as well as electrical equipment such as drills, saws, and others and large equipment such as tractors, lawn mowers, and others.
