Overview
Title: Custodian
Agency: Southwest Virginia Community College
Location: Tazewell - 185
FLSA: Nonexempt
Hiring Range: $15 per hour
Full Time or Part Time: Part Time
Additional Detail:
Responsibilities- General housekeeping and custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Maintain acceptable daily sanitation standards in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and buffing floors.
- Trash removal; cleaning restrooms and windows.
- Stripping and refinishing floors.
- Care and handling of housekeeping equipment, supplies, and assigned keys.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate electrically powered and manual cleaning equipment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Commercial/industrial cleaning experience.
