Hiring Range: $15 per hour
Full Time or Part Time: Part Time
OverviewPT General Facilities Workers perform general duties to maintain the campus as part of the Facilities team. Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance, event setup, and providing support to faculty, staff, and the public as needed.
Responsibilities- General maintenance duties to maintain campus environment, including painting, drywall repairs, masonry, and plumbing repairs; assist the Trades Tech and Maintenance Supervisor with various duties as needed.
- Perform general maintenance tasks as assigned by Maintenance or Housekeeping supervisors, the Director of Operations, or the VP of Finance and Administration.
- Assist with set-up for events including athletics.
- Assist faculty, staff, and the public as needed.
- Assist with snow removal as assigned.
- Complete job assignments without close supervision.
- Work on limited holidays, limited nights, and limited weekends as assigned.
- Complete OSHA 10-hour class & Bloodborne Pathogen Training; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
- Work assignments from the SWCC work order system as directed by the Operations Administrative Assistant, the Director of Operations, or the VP of Finance and Administration.
- Knowledge of general maintenance and trades, commercial grounds keeping, and commercial cleaning.
- Experience in various skilled trades, commercial grounds keeping, and commercial cleaning.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of power equipment, grounds equipment, and custodial equipment.
- Ability to lift and move furniture, supplies and equipment (50 lbs. minimum).
- Ability to climb extension ladders for maintenance and trades.
- Ability to operate snow removal equipment as assigned.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to follow safety and security procedures.
- Ability to complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
High school graduate or GED preferred.
