Position: Maintenance Generalist MG01- MG08, 2nd Shift, RVI-Temperanceville, VA
Location: Temperanceville

Job Overview

Maintenance Technician responsible for monitoring equipment during production, performing repairs or adjustments, and ensuring reliable equipment operation. The role includes preventive maintenance, rebuilding equipment, assisting with installations, and overall plant maintenance support.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor equipment during production and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Document any corrections required and perform preventive maintenance on weekends.
  • Rebuild equipment as required and assist with the installation of new equipment.
  • Assist maintenance throughout the entire facility and troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.
  • Grease, change oil, and clean various plant equipment.
  • Monitor equipment and computer boards.
  • Work other shifts when necessary and be available for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
  • Follow safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout, and comply with OSHA standards.
  • Work closely with other maintenance personnel to receive and pass along job information.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • At least 3 months of maintenance experience or enrollment in a maintenance or mechanical program.
  • Must understand and agree to follow safety rules and OSHA standards.
  • Must be able to communicate and get along well with others.
  • Must complete mandatory online training.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Good hand‑eye coordination.
  • Capable of moving equipment and machinery in excess of 40 pounds when needed.
  • Must be able to work on and inspect equipment, which may involve bending, turning, stooping, twisting, and climbing ladders.
  • Must be able to move freely throughout the plant over and around equipment, people and other obstacles.
  • Must be able to tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and very wet to very dry.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and reach, lift, and work overhead.
  • Employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Compensation

Hourly pay range: $23.85–$34.05 per hour, plus $2.00 shift premium. Shift: 2nd shift. The position is hourly only.
