Location: Fort Eustis

1st Advantage Federal Credit Union seeks a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to keep our branches and offices safe, reliable, and member-ready. In this hands-on role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, responding quickly to work orders and facility emergencies. You'll conduct regular inspections, coordinate vendors, support small projects and moves, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Working in a collaborative, member-focused culture, you'll help create clean, professional spaces that reflect our commitment to service and community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and ensure member and staff safety.
  • Conduct routine inspections of branches and offices to identify and resolve facility issues proactively.
  • Coordinate and oversee external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and asset records in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Ensure facilities comply with safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support space moves, setups, minor renovations, and installations of equipment or fixtures.
  • Monitor building systems performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
  • Assist with facility-related budgeting, inventory, and procurement of parts and supplies.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and operations teams to maintain a clean, professional, member-ready environment.
