ROCK SOLID JANITORIAL Inc. General Cleaner – Hourly Non-Exempt (Full and Part Time) Summary of Job Duties & Responsibilities

Performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas, and other building interiors.

Responsibilities

Sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and spot‑cleaning carpets.

Dusting and spot‑cleaning walls, ducts, blinds, cabinets, furniture, partitions, and desk tops; polishing all stainless steel fixtures such as water fountains.

Removing stains from rugs, walls, upholstery and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.

Sweeping walk‑ways and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Setting up carts and bulk barrels; re‑lining with small and large liners.

Pulling trash from offices, changing liners, and wiping desk tops as trash is pulled.

Vacuuming all offices and closing doors after areas are done (able to lift 45 lbs).

Detaining each section each night.

Cleaning restrooms (toilet, urinals, sinks) and emptying trash including sanitary boxes.

Wiping clean all walls and stainless steel.

Scrubbing floor under toilets and urinals; wet‑mopping the floor.

Using air freshener and restocking cart for next day.

Maintaining confidentiality.

Handling difficult situations and persons positively and professionally.

Following directions, being reliable and responsible.

Mixing solutions correctly.

Reporting to work on time and working scheduled shifts.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
Must be able to mix solutions correctly.
Must be reliable, responsible, and able to follow directions.
Must handle difficult situations and persons in a positive and professional manner.
Must maintain confidentiality.
