Job Responsibilities- Serve as daily custodial attendant to clean all spills, toilet overflow conditions, and litter; set up, break down, and arrange furniture, tables, chairs, and equipment in VPSTC meeting and convention spaces, classrooms, and other areas as scheduled and directed.
- Assist the VPSTC Maintenance Department in unclogging toilets and preventing overflow or running toilets.
- Maintain a complete inventory of all janitorial supplies and equipment necessary for custodial duties throughout VPSTC buildings, including partner leased spaces.
- Perform duties safely and in a manner that supports the mission and goals of DJJ and VPSTC.
- Stand for extended periods of time and perform manual labor.
- Lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and work at elevated heights up to 15 feet.
- Work days, evenings, nights, and/or weekends as required.
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Considerable experience in business‑environment janitorial and custodial duties.

Position DetailsThis is an hourly/wage position limited to 1500 hours, averaging 29 hours per week in a 12‑month period. This position does not include the state benefit package.
Hiring Range$17.50 – $21.40 per hour
