Position Location: Norcross, GA (serves Augusta, GA; Grovetown, GA; Aiken, SC)

The Systems Specialist will support the installation, startup, and commissioning of new building automation system equipment, ensuring consistency with scope of work, verifying system databases and programming, and interacting with customers to help them save energy and create a sustainable future.

Responsibilities
  • Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines, documenting commissioning details and communicating deficiencies and progress.
  • Plan work with Lead Technician and Team Leader.
  • Assist with data backup from servers, create automated backup procedures, troubleshoot inconsistencies in functions or sequence of operations, and set up and configure PC workstations and user interfaces.
  • Confirm proper network performance.
  • Run routine reports to review system operation, participate in final inspection and testing, support customer acceptance, and provide customer training on system operations.
  • Submit routine written reports and provide plans and control system documents to engineering for as‑built drawings.
  • Support scheduling of trade contractors for startup services, and submit accurate time and expense reports.
  • Work overtime as needed; may be required to perform extended hours to meet commitments.
  • Work rotational on‑call and/or minimal overnight travel.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; work effectively in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers.
Basic Qualifications
  • One or more years of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
  • Electro‑mechanical experience (from a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skill.
  • On‑the‑job experience reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documents.
  • Ability and willingness to work in varied circumstances including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high‑lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions.
  • Willingness to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, as well as to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or state‑recognized GED; associate or bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Two or more years of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
Pay Range

$49,195 – $84,334 annually. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
