Custodian PT

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team at Unionville Elementary. This part-time position is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and exhibit a commitment to excellence in custodial services.

• - Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• - Ensure that all facilities are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, adhering to health and safety standards.
• - Monitor and restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed.
• - Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for school events and activities.
• - Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• - Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies and special requests from staff or administration.
• - Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• - Maintain custodial equipment and report any malfunctions or the need for repairs.
• - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and effective school environment.

• - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• - Previous custodial or maintenance experience is a plus.
• - Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• - Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• - Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• - Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• - Must pass a background check and meet any other requirements set by the school district.
