Maintenance II; driving

Overview

Under general supervision of the maintenance supervisor/lead, performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of the hospital facilities, office facilities and equipment.

• Assist maintenance persons with designated tasks as assigned by Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
• Understand primary responsibility in specialty:
  Maintenance field or Painting field and be primarily responsible for all Kaweah Health equipment.
• Make necessary repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or replacement of parts.
• Assemble and install new mechanical equipment for use throughout co‑generation plants and related departments.
• Inspect, test, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment; check printouts, read gauges, and make necessary repairs.
• Pick up and deliver designated items as required.
• Keep accurate records of assigned tasks, including time, equipment, tools, and supplies used.
• Maintain and keep in good repair all tools and equipment.
• Apply paint, varnish, lacquer or other material to surfaces for buildings, furniture, equipment and other structures.
• Add wallpaper, drywall, wall or ceiling texturing or other wall coverings.
• Operate required equipment and erect scaffolding to reach surfaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid California Driver's License; provide DMV report prior to offer. No driving infractions in the last 5 years.
• Complete Kaweah Health's approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
• Preferred:
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required:
  
  three years of technical training or prior maintenance experience.
• For Construction Services: three years of construction experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, framing, drywall, painting, concrete, cabinetry, or flooring.
• Knowledgeable in electrical, air conditioning, welding, plumbing, or painting.
• Department specific:
  For Co‑Generation Plant, Maintenance KHMC, Maintenance KHRH, and Plant Ops & Maintenance‑TLC, personal cell phone (preferably AT&T) required; stipend provided.

Shift: Evening - 8 Hour or less (United States of America)

Pay Range: $24.31 – $36.46 per hour.
