Seeking a part-time Cleaner-Housekeeper for an apartment community in West Lafayette, IN.

Summary

The Cleaner-Housekeeper reports to the Property Manager and is responsible for the daily cleaning/upkeep of the property's amenities, common areas, leasing office, and model apartments, as well as the overall cleanliness of fully vacant and partially vacant apartments. The primary responsibilities include performing the cleanliness portion of the make‑ready process throughout the year, responding to cleaning assignments as directed by the Property Manager, and maintaining excellent resident relations through superior customer service.

On‑call and weekend hours may be required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain positive resident relations through superior service.
  • Perform general cleaning and trash removal of grounds and residential areas, including make‑ready apartments and common areas.
  • Clean and prepare fully and partially vacant apartments for move‑ins.
  • Clean and maintain the property's offices, amenities, etc.
  • Assist with the make‑ready process.
  • Identify apartments in violation of the property's trash/cleanliness expectations and promptly report deficiencies to the Property Manager in accordance with policy.
  • Perform other turn‑related duties as assigned.
  • Promptly report any safety or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Participate in the daily operations of the property.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation

Hourly Wage: $16. Bonus potential, health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, flexible spending account, and HSA.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance team members.
  • Good time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Professional, responsive, and reliable.
  • Has good interpersonal skills and a great attitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of company policies, safety standards, Fair Housing laws, and OSHA guidelines.
