Floor Tech

Lakeshore Nursing & Rehabilitation is hiring for our Floor Tech position.

The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro Health Care Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results. This position is responsible for maintaining the facility.

• As assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, maintain all floors, walls, wall coverings, ceilings, etc. Always keep the facility in excellent repair.
• Identify problems and report them appropriately.
• Take responsibility for all phases of grounds keeping, including: lawn care, weed control, planting, cleaning of parking lots, etc.
• Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas.
• Ensure that all driveways, parking areas, walks, and stairs are kept free from ice and snow. (Parking lot snow removal may be contracted by a snow removal service.)
• Perform regular inspections of resident rooms, halls and common areas for order, safety and any repairs that may be required.
• Take care of special requests from residents promptly.
• Use safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Assure that established Infection Control and Universal Precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures.
• Must work with a variety of chemicals, hazardous or flammable materials, and must be aware of their use and their possible reactions.
• Run errands for parts, supplies, or equipment.
• Perform other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by Supervisor.

• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test upon hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
• Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
