Primary PurposeTo maintain a clean and safe working environment where teachers can teach and students can learn.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Eligibility to drive based on the Texas DPS School Transportation Guidelines
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions and to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated competency in building custodial maintenance and personnel
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and properly handle cleaning supplies
- Two (2) years experience in the custodial field

Equipment Used- All custodial equipment including but not limited to buffers, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors
Tobacco Free, Gun Free, Drug Free. Must be willing to work flexible hours.
Mental / Physical DemandsMaintain emotional control under stress. Typical school atmosphere. Frequent interruptions. Strenuous standing, stooping, walking, climbing ladders, bending, pushing and pulling, must be physically fit and able to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. Working indoors, outdoors, in extreme temperatures including hot and cold temperature swings, inclement weather, around and exposed to dust, chemicals (herbicides and fertilizer), loud noises, and working on slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
Frequent district wide travel.
