Floor Technician

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. We are hiring immediately for full‑ and part‑time positions at Ascension Providence Hospital, Waco, TX.

• Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and apply proper procedures on hard floor care, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface treatment, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.

• Pay range: $17.50 – $20.00 per hour.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, full‑time or part‑time; rotating weekends required.
