As an EVS Lead, you'll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and team members while providing day-to-day leadership and support to Environmental Services staff.
** What You'll Do
** As an EVS Lead, you'll serve as a working leader who helps ensure healthcare environments remain clean, safe, and ready to support exceptional patient care. In this role, you will:
Lead and support Environmental Services team members during daily operations
Coordinate daily assignments and assist staff in completing cleaning responsibilities
Perform cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, public spaces, and support areas
Ensure patient rooms are properly cleaned and prepared following discharge or transfer
Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention standards
Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching new EVS team members
Support departmental staffing needs and provide coverage when necessary
Maintain cleaning equipment, supplies, and inventory to support efficient operations
Promote compliance with infection prevention, safety, and environmental services standards
Serve as a resource for staff regarding cleaning procedures, departmental policies, and customer service expectations
Support quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and operational excellence

* ** Required Qualifications
** High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to perform environmental cleaning and sanitation tasks safely and effectively
Ability to lead by example and support daily team operations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to customer service and patient-centered care Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with organizational policies
** Preferred Qualities
** Previous healthcare environmental services experience
Lead, supervisory, or training experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and willingness to support team members
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

** Physical Requirements
** Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials
Ability to operate environmental services equipment safely
** Education, Certifications & Licensure
** High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Environmental Services training or certification preferred
Ongoing departmental education and competency requirements as assigned
Additional training related to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards may be required#
