Join Our Team! Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957, and we are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We perform janitorial building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC and maintenance services for numerous commercial, retail, and residential properties on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island.

Full-time - Schedule:
Friday to Tuesday: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (Day off: Wednesday and Thursday); 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Tuesday to Saturday (Day off: Sunday and Monday) - Compensation per hour: $20.00

- Sweep, dust, mop, and disinfect tables, chairs, windowsills, glass windows, and counter tops.
- Clean shared spaces, including hallways, stairways, food courts, and restrooms, ensuring sinks, toilet seats, and urinals are sanitized.
- Restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Ability to stand and work in various weather conditions.
- Efficiently multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Follow safety procedures diligently.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
- Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues (e.g., burnt light bulbs) and notify the appropriate HBM employee accordingly.
- Must successfully complete the HBM prescreen.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- A valid Hawaii driver’s license is preferred.
- Ability to operate a golf cart on the premises.
- Previous custodial experience or a background in a related field is beneficial, although training will be provided.
- Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong public relations and communication skills are essential.
- Applicants should be ready to perform basic manual labor, keep common areas clean, and regularly lift, press, push, pull, and carry between 50 and 100 pounds.
- Physical requirements include reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and standing during shifts.
