Job Description

This individual is responsible for the repairs and preventive maintenance for all facilities at the resort. The role of the engineer is to provide a safe and healthy environment for our colleagues and guests to enjoy.

• Complete guest room preventive maintenance throughout the year on a scheduled basis.
• Clean and maintain all areas throughout the property.
• Respond to guest and colleague requests to make necessary repairs to accommodate the customer's needs in a timely and courteous manner.
• Be responsible for specified equipment and areas of responsibility, typically in guest rooms, including tasks such as replacing batteries in devices, replacing filters in AC units, cleaning cooling coils in AC units, etc.
• Assist first, second, and third class engineers with day-to-day duties and special projects as requested by the Chief Engineer.
• Paint areas as needed.

• Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.
• Good working knowledge of basic electrical systems, including 120V building power tools, multi‑meters, and amp probes.
• Good working knowledge of basic plumbing and piping systems, including copper and PVC pipe fittings.
• General working knowledge of basic HVAC systems such as fan coils, air handling units, exhaust fans, and make‑up air units.
• Maintenance tasks include filter changes, lubricating bearings, cleaning cooling coils, cleaning drain pans, and checking/changing drive belts.
• Knowledge of OSHA workplace safety standards such as PPE, Lock Out Tag Out, Ladder Safety, HAZCOM, and similar.
• Visual ability to read manufacturer's instructions, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, including patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and solve customer concerns.
• Physical capability to stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, bend, twist, push, see, hear, and speak to guests.
• Ability to work under harsh weather conditions (heat, wind, rain).
• Lifting requirements up to 25 lbs.
• Carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.

• Hourly Rate: $30.80 USD.
