ERG is seeking a Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians at the Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, Maryland. This individual will supervise a team of maintenance technicians and grounds personnel responsible for maintaining buildings, infrastructure, landscaped areas, roadways, and other site assets. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, experience managing maintenance operations, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
This is a fulltime onsite position at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. Indian Head, MD, is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA.
Job Description:- Supervise and plan groundskeeping activities, including mowing, trimming, weed whacking, and snow removal
- Oversee and assist with general building maintenance projects, including painting, light repairs, and minor renovations
- Manage work orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper use of tools and safety procedures
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to support facility operations and project needs
- Respond to emergencies and prioritize repair or maintenance issues as they arise
- 3+ years of experience supervising or leading a maintenance, landscaping, or facilities team
- Working knowledge of landscaping tools, building maintenance practices, and safety procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on work when needed
- Ability to obtain base access and work on a federal installation
- Must possess valid U.S. work authorization and a valid REAL r's License
- Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and participate in a medical surveillance program for the duration of employment
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug tests for the duration of employment
- This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds
- Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals)
- You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach during shifts
- Must be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items
- Must be able to safely climb and descend ladders, stairways, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms and perform work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet
- Must be able to perform work above shoulder level, including reaching, lifting, and manipulating tools and materials overhead
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen, as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations

$80,000 - $110,000 a year

The salary range for all positions depends on the years and type of experience.
