Commercial Facilities Engineer

Hobbs Brook Real Estate seeks a Commercial Facilities Engineer to operate and maintain Class A office and lab buildings in Wellesley, MA. In this on-site role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. You'll respond to tenant service requests, support fire/life safety testing, and coordinate vendor work, all within a collaborative, service-focused culture committed to high-quality, sustainable workplaces and long-term tenant relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems across office and lab properties.
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems to maintain comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.
• Respond to tenant service requests, troubleshooting and resolving facilities issues promptly and professionally.
• Support operation and testing of fire/life safety and emergency systems in compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors, overseeing on-site work to ensure quality and safety.
• Inspect facilities regularly, identify issues, and recommend improvements for reliability and sustainability.
