Maintenance Technician – East Wareham, MA

Pay: $25.00 to $27.00 / hour

Schedule:

Full-Time | Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Join Wingate Management Company, an award-winning leader in real estate management, development, and investment. We’re seeking a hands-on, tech-savvy, and experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee and actively participate in maintenance operations at ourEast Warehamproperty.

• Complete repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance
• Prepare apartments for new residents (turnovers)
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively
• Coordinate with vendors and safely use tools/equipment

• 1+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician
• Computer proficiency is a plus
• HVAC knowledge is a plus, particularly with boilers and heating systems.
• Experience with general plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, apartment turnovers, and preventative maintenance is essential.

Essential

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic familiarity with computers. Navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• Read, and write in English in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively with clients, visitors and other organization staff; and respond to basic questions
• Understand spoken English in order to follow basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively in Basic English with clients, visitors and organization staff in response to routine questions
• Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in routine situations. Specialized knowledge not required.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances and HVAC
• Excellent customer service skills

  Work is fairly routine from day to day. Employee follows a set pattern with any changes being communicated by supervisor.
• Available to respond to weather, environmental or emergency maintenance calls after normal working hours
• Ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation is required
