Responsible for keeping assigned buildings clean, safe, functional, and secure in accordance with prescribed codes and established District Policies and Standards.

• Work off ladders occasionally.
• Work off scaffolding rarely.
• Lift to waist 25–30 pounds frequently.
• Lift to waist 25–40 pounds occasionally.
• Lift waist to shoulders 17–25 pounds frequently.
• Lift overhead 10 pounds occasionally.
• Lift waist to shoulders 17–40 pounds rarely.
• Vacuum and extract carpets.
• Read, squat, and bend frequently.
• Dust furniture, building, and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hard floor surfaces.
• Push and pull 12.5–25 pounds frequently and 25–30 pounds occasionally.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the building as per work schedule.
• Operate safety‑sensitive equipment such as lifts and scrubbers.
• Show regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Supervisor of Custodial Operations and/or principal/designee.

• High school graduate and physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job.
• Competent in spelling, writing, and basic English language skills.
• Possess skills in maintaining school buildings to meet general health and safety standards.
• Maintain a very good work history with a strong attendance record and successful job performance as evidenced through past supervisor evaluations.
• Ability to work in a diverse economic, cultural, and racial environment.
