We are seeking Maintenance Helpers for our client company in Warren, MI! 1st Shift opportunities!
Shift- Standard schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Every other Saturday (6-hour shift) is required.
- Overtime is expected based on production and maintenance needs.
- Candidates seeking additional hours will typically have consistent overtime opportunities, with shifts that may extend up to 12 hours per day when needed.
- $25.00 - 28.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term career potential and opportunity to have a hand in building out newer maintenance department.
This role is designed for someone looking to build a long-term career in maintenance. You will receive hands-on training from an experienced Maintenance Manager and have the opportunity to grow your technical skills while helping build the maintenance department as the company continues to expand. We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Entry-Level Maintenance Technician who is eager to learn and build a career in industrial maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and wants to grow with a company that is building its maintenance department from the ground up.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work alongside a small maintenance team (2-4 people) and receive hands-on training in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and facility repairs. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, works well with others, and has a strong desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the maintenance/repair of production equipment and facility systems.
- Learn preventive maintenance procedures and help complete scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
- Perform basic repairs, equipment inspections, and general maintenance duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and special maintenance projects.
- Properly use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Accurately complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance team members to minimize equipment downtime.
- Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning industrial maintenance.
- Previous experience using hand tools, power tools, automotive repair, construction, maintenance, or similar mechanical work is preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to follow directions while also taking initiative.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
