Maintenance Crew – Crowne Plaza Hotel

• Base Pay $17.00 - $22.00 / Hour
• Employee Type Non-Exempt F/T Hourly

Quality, service and high standards are very important in our Engineering Department to ensure that we meet and exceed customer expectations. The position of Maintenance Tech is responsible for the preventive maintenance and inspection of all guest rooms and common spaces in the hotel. The Maintenance Tech will perform all repairs in a room to 100% completion. The Maintenance Tech’s primary goal is to make sure all rooms are perfect upon completion.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Inspection & Repair of walls, ceilings, countertops, furniture & fixtures.
• Paint ceilings, trim, & door frames as needed
• Replace or repair wall vinyl
• Replace or repair caulking around windows, doors, sinks, countertops, & tubs/showers as needed
• Replace or repair faucets, drains, toilets, wax rings, toilet seats, shower heads, & mixing valves as needed
• Replace or repair soap dishes, tiles, & sinks as needed
• Replace or repair bulbs, outlets, switches, lamps, televisions, remotes & alarm clocks as needed
• Replace or repair light bulbs, wall sconces, & recessed lighting as needed
• Repair/trim carpets as needed
• Replace or repair HVAC as needed
• Replace or repair guest room locks including batteries, card reader, & mortis assemblies
• Report all work which is required by an outside vendor to Assistant Chief Engineer or Senior Chief Engineer
• Nights and weekends a must

• Overall understanding & basic knowledge and experience with building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, & electrical
• Overall understanding & basic knowledge and experience troubleshooting basic electronics & appliances
• Overall understanding & basic knowledge of wall repair including painting and wall vinyl
• Overall understanding & basic knowledge of furniture repair and wood repair/touch up
• Overall understanding & basic knowledge of door locks
