Associate Professor: $80,000 to $170,000 (Based on discipline) Fund Source State Support
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in composition studies, develop and/or teach advanced online courses, and enhance the research efforts of the Department of English and the Center for Equitable Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Job Duties- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in composition studies
- Develop and/or teach advanced online courses
- Contribute to research and scholarship opportunities that will enhance the research efforts of the Department of English and the Center for Equitable Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Contribute to the first-year composition program
- Teach advanced composition
- Provide services to the department, college, university, community, and profession
- Split their time evenly between the Center for Equitable Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and the English Department, with a 50% course load reduction.

RequiredMinimum Qualifications
- Earned Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or a related field.
- Record of research and publication in composition, or related fields.
- Record of research, or a demonstrable interest, in the field of artificial intelligence (either in the application or development of AI as related to composition or other fields of English).
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canvas and/or other Learning Management Systems
Knowledge about writing center collaborations and how artificial intelligence enhances the mission of the Writing Center activities
