Position: Education & Quality Coordinator (Grant-Funded, Full-Time)

Position Overview

NPHI is seeking a detail-oriented, self-directed Education & Quality Coordinator to support the implementation of its Innovation Lab Phase II initiatives funded by a prestigious institute. This role blends education program coordination and continuous quality improvement (CQI) support, serving as an operational backbone for NPHI’s work to strengthen nonprofit, community-based serious illness care nationwide.

The individual in this role will be responsible for coordinating, promoting and advancing educational offerings, supporting CQI infrastructure tied to the Measures That Matter (MTM) framework, and helping translate data insights into practical learning and improvement opportunities for NPHI members. While this position is fully funded through a grant, the employee will be a full employee of Healthsperien, assigned to work within NPHI, with access to benefits and internal professional development.

It is also anticipated that the ideal candidate will possess the dedication and ability to help grow the education offerings and engagement in quality improvement initiatives in an effort to sustain the position beyond the period of the grant (although this is not guaranteed).

Key Responsibilities:
Education & Learning Systems (Approximately 50%)
  • Coordinate the development, administration, dissemination, and utilization of NPHI Innovation Lab educational offerings, including certificate programs in cardiac, pulmonary, cancer, and dementia population health.
  • Support logistics, scheduling, communication, marketing, and tracking for continuing education (CE) programs and learning activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between subject matter experts, external partners, and NPHI staff to ensure educational content is timely, accurate, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Maintain organized records of educational materials, participation, and outcomes to support reporting and sustainability efforts.
  • Support efforts to increase both the number of educational offerings and number of participants consistent with the goal of developing self-sustaining educational systems/structures.
Quality & Continuous Quality Improvement (Approximately 50%)
  • Support engagement, communication, marketing and implementation of NPHI’s CQI initiatives, including operational support for the Quality Dashboard and MTM-related education, marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Assist in fostering engagement and coordinating CQI learning collaboratives, peer sharing, and best-practice identification among high-performing member organizations.
  • Help translate quality and Total Cost of Care (TCOC) insights into actionable learning resources and improvement pathways.
  • Track CQI activities, milestones, and outputs to support grant reporting and internal evaluation.
Cross-Cutting Responsibilities
  • Support preparation of interim and final grant reports in collaboration with NPHI leadership.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and workflows to ensure grant compliance and audit readiness.
  • Contribute to internal coordination across NPHI education, quality, and innovation teams.
  • Participate in periodic meetings with Elea Institute and other external stakeholder representatives as needed.
  • Support meeting preparation as related to the collaboratives, QI initiatives and any other program and / or grant activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree in health care, public health, education, project management, marketing and/or business management or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare education, quality improvement, population health, marketing or related mission-driven work.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CQI concepts, dashboards, or performance measurement strongly preferred.
  • Experience with continuing education in healthcare strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively to engage members and stakeholders
  • Comfort working in a mission-driven, nonprofit healthcare environment.
