Responsibilities include teaching required multimedia journalism courses, performing service duties, advancing non-scholarly research and maintaining professional productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teaching up to two (2) courses in online or multimedia journalism and/or broadcast journalism
- Curriculum development emphasizes cross-disciplinary integration of new media technologies and multi-platform journalism.
- Student advising
- Outcome assessments
- Service to the program, department, college, university, and community
- Promotion of the program for recruitment.
Applicants should have, at a minimum, a master’s degree, coupled with significant professional experience. Extensive experience in news writing, copy editing, blogging, and social media is essential. Proficiency in professional, remote video production techniques is preferred. The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in integrating theory and practice in journalism education.
