Our client is a dynamic, growing trade organization that is looking for a strategic executive to lead the growth of education offerings. This position will be responsible for gathering and prioritizing customer requirements and launching and managing an education program with a strong quantitative and qualitative data-driven approach. The successful candidate will have a real passion for understanding and anticipating customer needs and strong motivation to solve their problems.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the Education Catalog of the organization:
Develop the business case and build courses for members and nonmembers, from ideation and market research through development and launch, working with key partners and stakeholders.
Drive Impact and Demonstrate Value:
Track critical business and program metrics to continuously iterate and improve the value proposition of the organization’s product offerings.
- Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement educational strategies, curriculums, and certifications that meet industry standards. - Curriculum Development:
Oversee the creation of workshops, seminars, and online courses, ensuring they are current, engaging, and relevant. - Program Evaluation:
Analyze the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback and metrics, adjusting as needed. - Member Engagement:
Identify industry training needs by collaborating with members, committees, and subject matter experts. - Budgeting & Operations:
Manage the educational budget, secure funding if necessary, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. - Industry Liaison:
Represent the association in educational matters, speaking at events and enhancing the visibility of professional development programs. - Takes responsibility for deliverables to ensure high-quality final products
- Graduate/advanced degree, or extensive commensurate work experience is preferred; an undergraduate degree is required.
- Prior experience with e-learning and learning management systems is required.
- Minimum of three years working in a member association environment in a relevant facet of professional education.
- Demonstrated project management skills: capable of successfully delivering multiple, frequently simultaneous programs in a demanding, multidisciplinary and deadline driven environment – with accountability to other senior managers.
- Capable of skillfully managing relationships with outside organizations (members, associations, vendors, etc.). Must present professionally to both internal and external audiences, including but not limited to speaking assignments.
- Extremely proactive leader with an ownership mindset. Strong commercial acumen and a bias for action. Ability to balance tradeoffs, prioritize for business impact, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes.
- Excellent writing, oral presentation, interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Problem solver, curious, organized, growth mindset, client-focused.
- Sophisticated command of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, ability to utilize Co-Pilot and other AI tools to improve efficiency, able to acclimate to new tools and systems quickly.
