Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities tailored to students' IEP goals.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students in developing academic skills, social skills, and independence.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies.
- Monitor and document student progress and share observations with the lead teacher.
- Help with classroom setup, organization, and preparation of learning materials.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and break times.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure consistent support for students.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or any related field (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year working with children in a special education setting (required).
