Summary:
Support the Project on Civic Dialogue’s programming including through event planning, communications and marketing, dialogue facilitation, research, and program design.
- Learn and share principles of civic and academic dialogue.
- Plan events for undergraduates, prospective students, and AU community that integrate dialogue across differences, civic engagement, depolarized communication, collaborative learning, academic freedom, and freedom of expression.
- Promote PCD programming and curricular offerings.
- Support Faculty Director and Staff Coordinator in developing and implementing curricular and co-curricular offerings that integrate dialogue into SPA and AU.
Part-time.
10 hours per week.
Salary Range$18.40 per hour.
RequiredEducation and Experience
Open to undergraduate or graduate students at American University.
Students in good academic standing at American University.
Demonstrated interest in civic dialogue.
Additional Eligibility QualificationsPCD welcomes students with varied experiences. No prior work experience is necessary, but we encourage interested students to reflect upon the role that dialogue has played in prior jobs and to share this insight with their peers.
