The After school Program Assistant helps create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for students in the school’s after school program. This role supports daily program operations, supervises students, assists with enrichment activities, and promotes positive student engagement. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, creative, and enjoys working with children.

• Supervise and ensure the safety of students during after school programming
• Plan, organize, and facilitate enrichment activities that support student growth and engagement
• Prepare materials and supplies for activities and projects
• Supervise students during supper and assist with cleanup
• Reinforce school‑wide routines, expectations, and positive behavior
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Support daily program operations and maintain a safe, organized environment
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
• Collaborate with team members to support a successful after school program

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to work with students across multiple grade levels
• FBI criminal background clearance required
• Tuberculosis screening/clearance required

Additional duties may be assigned based on program and student needs.
