The PositionWe are seeking a part-time, 1-on-1, in-home high school tutor in Northern Virginia, DC, or Maryland to teach AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics
. To be competitive, you should have past experience teaching or tutoring AP Economics. Bonus points if you also have experience with AP Statistics, AP Calculus, or related high school social sciences and math courses.

Experience:
Proven track record tutoring or teaching AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics. Experience with high school math or social sciences is a plus. - Education:
Bachelor's degree required (Economics, Finance, Applied Mathematics, or Education degrees preferred). Current or former AP Economics classroom teachers are highly encouraged to apply! - Interpersonal

- Deliver customized academic planning and targeted instruction for AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics.
- Conduct 60–120 minute private, individual lessons in students' homes (weekdays 4:00 PM–10:00 PM, and/or weekends).
- Graph, analyze, and break down complex economic models, formulas, and concepts into clear, actionable lessons.
- Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents and students regarding academic progress.
Top Score Education offers highly competitive compensation. The starting pay range for this role is $50–$75 per hour
. As tutors grow and develop with our company, top educators can earn up to $100 per hour

- Availability:
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends. - Commitment: A minimum weekly commitment of 8 teaching hours (e.g., 1–2 weekday evenings and one weekend day).
- Transportation:
Consistent access to a car (work is primarily 1-on-1 in students’ homes) and a willingness to drive up to 30 minutes to a lesson (travel bonuses provided for longer drives).
