Position: Intelligence Operations Specialist (Intelligence Instructor)

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A).

The primary purpose of this position is to development and delivery of homeland security intelligence training for the Department of Homeland Security. Incumbent design, develop and deliver high-quality intelligence instruction to DHS Intelligence Enterprise workforce.

This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Specialized

Experience:
  • Design, development and delivery of classroom, distance learning, and mobile training programs.
  • Develop and implement best practices in a training and curriculum development and management of educational programs and comply with accreditation requirements.
  • Applying quantitative and qualitative methods for the assessment and improvement of classroom and learning training programs and curriculum resources (e.g., needs analysis design/development, delivery, evaluation).
  • Plan, organize, and implement programs, plans, and proposals involving substantial agency resources or that require extensive changes in established procedures.
Additional desired experience would be:
  • Serve as an expert-level instructor delivering all-source intelligence analysis training programs.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on homeland-security all-source intelligence analysis.
  • Manages and administers training delivery for assigned programs including engagement with training customers, enrollment, compliance with Academy accreditation standards, and logistic and administrative support.
  • Conducts reviews and evaluations of training programs, concepts and materials to continuously improve training development and delivery.
  • Supports training initiatives in support of Department requirements. Executes complex and difficult assignments often functioning as part of a team in interagency efforts to maximize the utility of intelligence training across enterprise.
