Gen Ed Teacher - Washington, DC

This position focuses on covering one Spanish class for middle school students, with a strong emphasis on immersive instruction primarily conducted in Spanish. • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience, ideally at the middle or high school level
• High proficiency in Spanish, with the ability to conduct classes fully in Spanish
• Proven classroom management skills, comfortable navigating varied learning needs
• Experience working successfully with students from diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for close collaboration with the Spanish and Language Team
• Familiarity with differentiation and various strategies to support learners of assorted abilities
• Ability to efficiently follow established unit and lesson plans while fostering consistent, high expectations
• Preferred—but not required—background with IB MYP, proficiency-based, or inquiry-driven teaching methods

• Full-time, contract employment—40 hours per week through June 16, 2027
