LongTerm Substitute Teacher

Sidwell Friends School, a coeducational Quaker day school in Washington, DC, seeks a long-term, part-time substitute teacher to teach two sections of Biology and one section of Ecology and Conservation.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- An undergraduate degree in Biology or a related field
- Previous experience teaching life sciences
- A graduate degree is preferred
The successful candidate will be an eager collaborator within our science team, possess a good sense of humor, and demonstrate a high level of adaptability in a dynamic work environment. An appreciation for the school’s commitment to academic and personal excellence, Quaker values, equity, justice, service, and students’ social-emotional wellness is also essential.
This is a one-semester position beginning January 5 and ending June
9. Classes meet in the mornings only.
Compensation
Salary Range: $18,722 – $42,076. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
